hahaha! I saw that. I was like "how did OKC lose to Orlando?" And it's on a GW dunk. That would have been brutal.
Would a legit title team really lose a game in this manner? Seems kind of peculiar to me and gives me hope once again that Portland has a shot not in only in their own division but out west when it's all said and done. I wonder if their is really anything Neil can do this year to bolster this team.
I think this is a very rare season where even the top teams have some serious flaws. There is no clear-cut favorite to win it all, let alone Conference Finalist favorites. This season - despite the dearth of talent in the East - seems to have the greatest amount of parity between teams. With that said, our flaws are more fatal than a number of other teams flaws. Absolutely everything will need to go right for us with win a single PO series.
It's all on match up. It's hard to speculate too far before the deadline, too... with the Cleveland fire sale... it could make things interesting.
Agreed about pre-trade prognosticating. But as things currently stand in the league the championship is up for grabs. I just don't like our chances of making that grab. Either everything has to go right for us, or we need a major trade.
I hear what you're saying. And agree, as well. Although, maybe not a MAJOR trade... but a trade of something of substance at least.
I'm sure or I at least hope they are working the phones trying to make something happen. But do you any of you ever get the feeling the managment team is waiting for the team to give them a reason to not do something. Like a few more losses here and maybe that one idea doesn't make any sense? Or do you think they work that way?
That makes me think that maybe the losing isn't the WORST thing in the world... it may show an urgency to get something done now.
I assume they are working the phones and doing everything in their power to make this a contending team this year with the amount and type of resources they have. I know it takes two to deal but it does boggle my mind that this managment team is watching this team and can clearly see that they could use some help depth wise and it hasn't moved them...just wonder if it will.
We don't know 90% of what goes on behind closed doors, so you can't assume they aren't doing anything. The deadline isn't until the end of the month, and most trades are done in the 11th hour.
Blue is correct. It is up for grabs this year. I just hope they see this look at it as "Our time is now" and work in a way that shows this belief I get the resources are very low. But it if its a fire sale. I hope they are digging and searching every opportunity. I'm sure there is something there that could help put this team over the top this year or get them closer.
