On Thursday, Australia announced that they will be banning logos and brands on all cigarette packs that are commercially sold in stores. The packets will carry large anti-smoking stickers while the cigarette brand will be in small-print somewhere on the packet. Australia also raised the tax on cigarettes by 25% with the proceeds going to healthcare. Tobacco advertising and enclosed public smoking is also banned in Australia but tobacco-related deaths still cost the government more then 31.5 billion.
