<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Asked Friday if he could keep that up for the entire season, Nocioni answered with certainty.

?For a whole season? It?s impossible,? he said. ?I am the role player. I know I play great the last month, but I try to work for the team. I am no star on this team.

?For some reason in this series, I need to take more shots, play more offender than defender. I know who I am.?

In the playoff series, Nocioni was mostly matched up against Antoine Walker, a notoriously poor defender. But the Argentinean forward also averaged 17.4 points and 10.7 rebounds during 10 regular-season games in April.

One question for the off-season is how much the Bulls should plan to use Nocioni next year. He?s shown impressive improvement during two NBA seasons, but he often plays power forward at just 6-foot-7.

Bulls general manager John Paxson is unconcerned.

?You like to have as many really good players as you possibly can,? Paxson said. ?I?ll do everything I can to have him here as long as possible. Guys like him make my job easier, I think.?

Defensive edge to Chandler: Center Tyson Chandler averaged just 1.8 points and 4.5 rebounds against Miami. He left the Berto Center vowing to work hard this summer, while splitting time between Deerfield and his native Southern California.</div>

I don't think he can keep up a 22 point average. But, he can atleast score 15 a game if he stays that aggresive and atleast 9 boards a game.

Hopefully the thing about Tyson is true.

    I don's see him averaging 22 a game more like 15-18.

I might be a little biased because of KU, but I can easily see Hinrich avg 20 ppg.

No way can Hinrich or Nocioni avg. over 20 ppg. Look at the numbers as is.

At the most I can see this for the definite returns.

    <font color=""red"">Duhon</font> 8-9 ppg
    <font color=""red"">Gordon</font> 18-19 ppg
    <font color=""Red"">Hinrich</font> 14-15 ppg
    <font color=""red"">Deng</font> 16-17 ppg
    <font color=""red"">Chandler </font> 6 ppg
    <font color=""Red"">Nocioni</font> 15-16 ppg

i dont see why hinrich can't average 20ppg
the only things holding him back is that he is expected and does defend better players than gordon does and also the fact his jumper is inconsistent, but that can be worked on

Only reason Hinrich will probably never average 20+ is because he is a point guard, and it is not his job to score a lot of points. He is required, especially, in Skiles system to distribute the ball. I think it’s possible Deng and Gordon will average over 20 points in the future.

Do you guys think that any of these scoring stats change with Big Ben on the squad?

Have you guys noticed that Nocioni is very modest?

Wasn't he the one who turned down the three point contest invitation because he said it was just 'luck' that he happend to be leading the league in three pointers at the time?

this guy is awesome! he refused the three point contest because he said he isnt that good at threes. even though he was like leading the league. and now he says it is impossible for him to average what he did in the last month of the season. he is the perfect role player.

Not really I mean they might have a few more opportunities, because of the offensive rebounds Wallace will pull down, but I think more or less they will still average around the same numbers (offensively) they would had it been Chandler on the roster. Wallace doesn?t take opportunities away from them either most of his points come from fast breaks and put backs. Here is how I see the stats going next year?

Nocioni is not the type of guy that likes media attention. He prefers to fly under the radar than above it. He is a blue-collared guy that will do anything to help his team get the win. He turned down the three-point contest, because I believe he said he was not a three-point shooter, and could not get through all the racks in time.

Yeah, he said he doesn't think of himself as a three point shooter, that's why he didn't go.

c this is y i like Nocioni. He doesnt try be better than everyone he just comes to play and help us win and do his part. U never know Nocioni might average 22 points a game but y should a player known as a role player say he will, it will just make his opponents play him harder. But the guys i c doing that are Luol Deng and/or Ben Gordon. Well someone on our team has to for us to become a much better team.

Sorry this is old but this is kind of robbing Chandman. He did a good defensive job that numbers don't show. He also dunked on Wayne Simien [IMG]

I like Nocioni but 20 I think is a bit much. I can see 17-18 but not 20. Nocioni is one of my favorite players also because of his modesty and desire to win and stay away from the spotlight. Not many players in the league like that.
