There goes Dirk chance at getting All-Star game MPV. =p Congrats to me though. I think I did an excellent job with the Mavs. Don't you think? <font color=""White"">(JP!!! IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM DO I SOUND OR LOOK LIKE THAT GREMLIN!!!)</font>
No surprise to me..I think its a well deserved call. I've been really impressed with him since he's taken over. He's definitely my runnerup for Coach of the Year behind Flip Saunders.
It means that Popp was coach last year, and you can't be coach two years in a row. But at the moment (if we win today), we'll have the same win% as the Spurs
Yeah congrats to him, and well deserved to him. This could boost up some coach of the year hype, ya never know.
At 33-10, Avery Johnson is the most impressive coaching performance this decade so far that i have seen. Did Phoenix go 33-10 last year at the start? and that was with Amare, Shawn Marion, Nash, etc. I really hope he gets Coach of the year. Flip Saunders doesn't deserve it cause he inherited a team full of disciplined pros. He totally landed on his feet. Avery though has a team of youngsters and players with some failed to live up to expectations type past - e.g Keith Van HOrn and others and he's got them all playing well...
