    That first period might have been the best period of hockey I've seen in two years. I love the energy and it's clear they are playing a north-south style that emphasizes possession and sustained chances, not just the rush.

    Chytil looks very comfortable on the wing. He was a beast behind the net towards the end of the period.

    Shattenkirk with his best period of the season.

    Love Fast but now we see why he isn't a top 6 player. Swing and a miss on two good chances.

    Zucc is now the guy who needs to wake up.

    Claesson does not look good. Would rather see Smith back on the left and ADA in.

    That was an outstanding period, though Hayes continues to be a sea urchin.

    This has the feel of something stupid happening right at the end. A 'Ranger special'.

    Pull off a win tomorrow against the Caps and that could be a little springboard for them.

    Teams works hard. If they don't, they get benched. You watch AV? That's how you are supposed to do it.
