I still think the real race is going to start post Olympic break. Its all about how the team plays after that, then we will know if its buy or sell time. The games until the break are all just jockeying for position.

If they dont play the Isles or Devils, or at home in general they may survive. Now they have an angry StL team on the way

Thats the nature of this board. A tough loss after about 10 games of real good hockey and all of a sudden we're back in last place with no chance and no future and everybody sucks and blah blah blah.

These games happen. Sucks it had to be against the Isles but they have 2 more chances in the next 10 days to get them back.

This team has had too many bad losses this season. It is a sign of an average hockey club. It will be a dogfight as always until the last game. Rinse and Repeat.

Who on here is saying they are anything more than average? Haven't seen too many people make that argument. They just played a real good stretch of hockey. They got a reality check tonight. Let's see if they can put another run together. No reason to think they can't.

Ha ha Prod, I could see how you could mix us up as both of us start with the letter M. LOL. Sorry, But I haven't gone at it with anyone yet. I do think at this point after more than half the season cally does not fit this style as he is just too slow and if we can get a big scoring wing or a tough defenseman for him I would do it pretty quickly. Hags is a good player but has problem with his size as everyone knocks him around. Frodo, on the other hand probably smaller than hags doesn't take shit from anyone which is why we all love him now(And in addition he's showing he's pretty good too). Don't know when the brick fell off the building and hit him in the back of the head but our former ballerina with all the spin moves has remembered that his name is NASH and everything goes straight to the goal now as he is for us now what he was for columbus and what we hope he continues to be for the rest of this season and playoffs.

I'll remind you that you were the one saying we should go sell the farm amidst the worst portion of play this team has had all season.

Even with their turned around play, there is no reason why this team should be trading any one of Miller, McIlrath, Lindberg, Fast, Skjei, or any of the players drafted last year. This team also should not move a single draft pick in the 3rd round or higher.

If they make a move for a rental with any of those players/picks I'll throw up all over the floor.

Mig, I agree. Too many stupid, short-gap moves is a team killer.

It was painful for many reasons. Another lose to the Islanders or Devils on home ice. A disruption of a nice little win streak after having a 3-1 lead at home. Regardless if they were playing well or not in the game you have to hold on when you're lucky enough to grab a two goal lead at home. Most importantly I saw a regression back to stupid play of some of the usual suspects like Girardi.

ah, Mig. My man Mig...your entire point, which Prod and i argued with you on, was that you wanted to be sellers in January, while we were proposing waiting til the deadline to make that decision b/c January was way too soon to throw in the towel on the year. The recent team performance only shows further how lost you were back then.

Yeah and you still want to buy if they stumble in as a wild card... only showing further how lost you still are.

A lot of people don't care how the team is built, as long as
they make the playoffs. Problem is they get in (barely),
and are eliminated in Round 1. Not the way to build a
SC winner. The Rangers' history should be testament enough.

One Stanley Cup and going on 74 years.
