Players, coaches, and NBA fans rejoice. Aside from not getting to watch your team as frequently, this is a great thing. Should add up to more competition for the league as a whole. No longer will players like Embiid sit out games because they are on the second night of a B2B.
What a bunch of crap. These guys are already hothouse flowers. The more they get paid the more they get their asses kissed. So let's just make an already overly long season even longer. Sorry, I don't see any benefit for the fans. The players are paid obscene money to play. So they have an occasional back to back. BFD. The league has had back to back games (along with 4 games in 5 nights) since the league started 70 years ago. No one ever died because of it. So what makes the current crop of prima donnas different from the past? The current players fly on team owned jets, they have world class trainers and medical staff, they are better conditioned (and fed), etc. It doesn't make any real sense. It's like the plumbers union negotiating to eliminate working two days in a row, while still expecting to get paid full wages, while the customer waits even more time for their water service to be repaired. It's a stupid idea. But then, that's just me......
This is really just cutting out some of the preseaon, which is really not needed, and making it regular season . They could also schedule smarter to furthur reduce travel.

I agree this generation is soft. Jordan played 82 games with B2Bs and 4/5s and did just fine. I understand LeBron resting because he's been to the Finals 6 times in a row. And I understand easing Embiid into his career because of injuries. But everyone else should play and quit complaining. I don't want a longer season. I hate waiting between games. Fuck.
