But there is nothing wrong with covering all the angles heading into the NBA draft lottery, right? "I have sent some Holy Water, the real stuff, with Matt Bonner and John Lashway," Babcock, the Raptors general manager, said yesterday. "This water is directly from Lourdes, France, where there once was a famous Virgin Mary sighting." Bonner, a rookie forward, and Lashway, the vice-president of communications and community development at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, Ltd., will be the Raptors' representatives as the annual lottery unfolds tonight in Secaucus, N.J.</div>Source
I'm rooting for us to get up to at least 2nd or 3rd pick.. we're long overdue for a top three pick. Hopefully the Red Rocket with Holy Water (essentially H20, which if separated into hydrogen and oxygen, is a rocket fuel) is the right mix for some kind of a luck. If we get the first pick,, as unlikely as it seems, the possibilities will be unlimited in terms of trade assets. We can pick Bogut and trade him to a team like New Orleans for Jamaal Magloire and their first round pick, or we can just keep him as our starting centre.
I would love to have a top 3 pick. Even if we get third, we would get one of the three players C:Andre Bogut SF:Marvin Williams PG:Chris Paul We have room for a spot for any of those players, so I would love a top 3 pick.
