The Raptors acquired Mourning in the trade that sent Vince Carter to the Nets. "He's still dealing with health issues, which are real issues. He's not down there on vacation."</div> Full article well, nobody else posted it, so i figured i might. surprised to see a buy out, and not a trade being talked. guess nobody wants his retarded contract. nets ownership must have been on crack to give him that much money, over that amount of time given his history.

Something has to give sooner or later though. Too bad his kidney ain't holding up that good, because he would've made a good mentor for Araujo and Bosh even if he played limited minutes. Oh well, it seems Bosh is mentoring himself so we should be fine.
its not his kidney right now...its his knees. and even if he was healthy...i dont think he would have played. maybe...tough to say.
Man the guys not really injured, he just doesn't waste his limited time left playing on a "crappy" team. The thing is no doctor can clear a guy with a kidney injury to be able to play anyways. I don't understand why we haven't suspended him yet. Babcock also should learn that if you're not willing to talk about situations, don't accept radio interviews and then go on and just answer no comment to everything, that's just retarded.

That was quite entertaining wasn't it.... Bobcat just wouldn't stop bashing babcock after he said "no comment" to everything. Even though I agree that Babcock shouldn't have agreed to the interview, I still think Bobcat was acting like a complete d!ck with his comments afterwards. The guy acts like he's king of Toronto media....
Another thing is with Alonzo and the buyout, if it's really not about money and just being on a contender, then the guy should take a $0 buyout instead of wasting out time and our cap. Even if it can't be $0, just take the minimum he can so he can get out and get on with his life. The guy wants a big chunk of his remaining contract, going to a contender isn't the priority, the priority is not playing for the Raps or Nets, and getting his money.

He wants his money and he doesn't want to play for us. He can't have it both ways. Suspend the guy. Jim Jackson doesn't want to play, and what does the Hornets GM do? He suspends without pay for everygame he doesn't play.
well...he wasnt playing in the couple of games before the trade...i dont really buy that he's seriously injured and cant play...but he did sit out the nets 2 games prior to the trade with "knee tendanitis"
Yea I heard that he was sitting off on the Nets to preserve his body so he wouldn't wear out or getting injured while waiting to get on that contender

Haha it does, it's just not you, Quickness, Alonzo isn't some poor man, the guy's got money, he doesn't need to support his family at all. Also if we buy him out what risk is it for other teams to get him?
Babcock probably has an agreement with Zo and if we were to start suspending him, it would probably get Zo whiny and start distracting us. It would be another nuisance. If we can get him to agree to a decent buyout where we pay him like 1/2 or something that would be good, because after he is bought out some other team will sign him.
