gah.. first the bobkittens & then the magic. I will say, however, the magic have had the advantage over the Kings on their home floor going 11 of the last 16 meetings. I am just really hoping that this is not going to be the Kings that we will see for the rest of the year.
I just recently watched the Kings vs. Magic game. The thing that bothered me throughout the game was that the team seemed to shy away from Peja at times. Peja is the new face of the franchise and a legitimate scorer, yet he only got 12 attempts... the least of the starting five next to Brian Skinner's 10. It wasn't as if he was shooting poorly, he hit 7 of those shots, and three from long-range. He doesn't nearly demand the ball as much as he should. And I've been thinking a little... how effective would Peja and Bibby be on a pick-and-roll...? That's something I'd like the Kings try out. It could be killer. Another thing I saw was that the Kings relied too often on one vs. one play or one pass and shoot... The offense no longer opperates through the high post on every possession. This lead to the bunch of turnovers the Kings had... but I think eventually they can work it out once they get a regular rotation going together and the team gells together.
They also didnt have Brad Miller ,their now premiere post player,to use for any of those high post plays.I think the Kings are far better than most think.Didnt Peja shoot 11 free throws. If youre fouled on a shot attempt does it still count as an attempt?
