Javier Báez stepped up to the plate for the first time in 12 days and promptly smacked an RBI double off the Dodger Stadium wall. J.D. Davis and the slumping New York Mets backed him up with their best offensive performance since Báez left the lineup. By the time they were finished beating the defending champions, the Mets looked sharp enough to suggest there's still time for Báez — and maybe Francisco Lindor — to help them save their season.
