Who do you think is the better SG on the Suns as of now? Barbosa has improved a lot over the off season, and it has shown, averaging 20+ points a game while only starting in one of three played so far. Bell, on the other hand, has seemed to struggle a bit.I will post my opinion later...

I'm saying Bell right now because it's just the start of the season and he'll get better while Barbosa has been inconsistent throughout his career. But Barbosa definitely has the potential to be better. He is working on his defense a lot and he has scored very well so far this season, like early last season. If he learns to use his long wingspan to make up for his height then his D will be pretty good I think and I definitely see him turning out to be a better player eventually(soon). His contract right now really seems like a bargain. For now I will choose Raja because of his D and his usually more consistent shooting. I like him as the starter with Barbosa giving us a spark off the bench, but Barbosa will be the better player and I might change my mind this year. I just think it's too early in the season to judge them yet.

Raja Bell. Raja is one of the best defenders at the two, and he is a great shooter also. Barbosa is lightning quick, and he can shoot, but he doesn't play D, and he is a tweener.

Yeah Barbosa definitely is undersized at the 2 so I'll give it to Bell.

Raja Bell is better right now, but Barbosa will end up being the better player. Bell is bigger and a better defender. I like Bell a lot, and Barbosa for that matter. But seeing how Bell is an average sized 2-guard and Barbosa is a combo-guard, I will take Bell for now. Not to mention Bell can knock down shots, and he can handle a star player.

Bell easily. Barbosa is great off the bench, but I don't really see him as a starter. Barbosa is undersized and a scorer with, average at best D. Bell is an above average defender who is a great 3-pt shooter and hits open shots. The Suns are lucky to have both.

I have to disagree with all of you. I mean have you seen the way Barbosa is playing, he has been arguably the best suns player so far. Hes averaging 20 points per game and already has 2 or 3 30 point games. Bell is the better defender, but Barbosas quickness makes up for that since he can still bother a shotter when he risess up for a jump shot.

You can't judge them by a few games. And notice how a lot of us are saying Barbosa will be the better player eventually. Right now Bell is the much better defender and more reliable player. Barbosa's defense is not good yet. He has the potential to become very good because of that quickness and his long arms but he hasn't shown us that yet except for a few games here and there. Once he improves at that and matures even more as an NBA player then he will be the better player.

Barbosa plays selfishly at times and seems out of control. He is best suited as a bench player and I see him being that way the rest of his career.

Bell is a smarter player and more controlled as well. He makes big plays on defense that Barbosa doesn't do. Barbosa is dangerous if he gets on a roll on offense but that's it. His game is inconsistent.

Altough he has to pass the ball more often soemtimes and has to play more under control, his upside makes up for imaturity. Bell is a good solid player, who has a great defensive game, but the intensity that he brings on the court everygame that only international players bring to the table (yes I am suggesting that international players are better and want it more) is something Bell is incapable of doing

I dsagree. Bell is a hard worker and wants 'it' more than most people. He went from washing jocks to finally getting a chance in the league 5 years ago. I think he appreciates it more than any international player. Barbosa has upside, but he hasn't shown what he can do consistently let. Even last year in the playoffs he only had a few very ood games but also looked bad at times, but Bell was a big part of the team's success last season. I just wish we had him healthy the whole time. If we did we just might've won it all. It killed me seeing the Suns give up a 18 point lead because of Bell and Nash playing hurt.
