Arsenal let slip a two-goal lead in their opening match of the Barclays U21 Premier League season to draw with Stoke City at the Weaver Stadium.

After a low-tempo start to the game Thomas Eisfeld opened the scoring for the visitors with a 20-yard effort before the break and the German made it a brace by chipping the ball over Stoke goalkeeper Dale Eve from just outside the box two minutes into the second half.

Stoke got one back on 60 minutes when Adam Thomas netted and George Waring secured Stoke's first point of the campaign from the penalty spot after being fouled by Arsenal goalkeeper Deyan Iliev late on.
