Free-agent Matt Barnes has contacted the Warriors about a potential return to the team, but sources say an agreement is a longshot. I wonder why it's a long-shot. Does he want too much money, or...? I wonder what he's expected to get? He averaged 9pts/6reb last year in 26 minutes, played 81 games, shot only 32% from three... but a nice 49% from the field... He won't be a game changer but Nellie likes him and he'll fill a void behind Dorell Wright... $2.5 mils per year?
My guess is hes looking for a multi year deal and no one offered him one so he approached us to see what we would give. When we said we'll give you league minimum like everyone else he probably opted to go with a contender.
