So glad David Price hated the Yankees facial hair policies, used to hear him sing he'd never be a Yankee when he was a Tampa Ray. Quite a few teams have trimmed his ass and beard with the Rangers being the latest group to do so. Looks like the Bostons did not get what they expected, bet they wished they had kept Lester arund.

...the Red Sox screwed the pooch by low balling Lester (Four years, $70 million) on an extension while he was still with the Sox...and this was AFTER the
market had just been set by Clayton Kershaw agreeing to a contract worth $215 million over seven years, and the Yanx paid Tanaka paid $155 million.

...I think Jon was so miffed by it he didn't even bother to make the Sox a counter offer...and so instead of locking Lester up with a multi year deal and keeping him in the fold, Lester bolted and signed with the Cubs for 6 years, $155 million

...the Sox sure could use Lester's pitching this year...their record could easily be 4-5 games better.

I sure don't want to commit blasphemy on a Yanx Board, BUT- I'm pulling for the Cubs all the way this year, as its obvious Our Yanx will not be a Post Season Contender, even if they got lucky enough to grab the one game WC...

I too think Mr. Price is no longer right, his best is behind him...IMO...stick a for in him too...

A couple more recent baseball funnies in my view were provided by two more pitchers. First of all James Shields, dude just fell off of a cliff for San Diego, then the White Sox. Did a little better the last time out but had those 4 games in succession giving up 7 plus runs. Saw his videos when he was a Ray and akin to Price sniveled about the Yankees. One sign of the Yankee A sign of franchise failure for me was the Yankees getting their asses kicked at Tropicana, especially that last game in 11 when the Yankees blew a 7 run lead, lost the game. Another Tampa Bay snip is my old buddy Archer. Saw him bragging in an interview about being praised for his work ethic by the current White House Occupant. Mr Archer most recently had his ass handed to him by the Baltimore Orioles. While the Yankees aren't doing well there are other things in baseball that make me laugh. FIDO!
