Any of you guys read basketball magazines? I love Slam, it's got to be my favorite magazine out there. Another mag I have read is Inside Stuff. I used to subscribe to it, but it's kind of like a childish version of Slam. I love the way Slam expresses basketball as a cultural thing. Such a good mag, can't wait for the big 100th issue!
I like Slam. ESPN nba coverage sucks. I personally like reading inernet articles better, even tho it eventually hurts my eyes.

Is it jsut me or has Slam become boring? They use the same players over and over, and never say anything negatice about anyone. As positive a guy as I am, it is pathetic how every player is written as either:"The next big thing" or "Great" or "Proven" or "Silencing the Doubters"It's getting old, and quite frankly when Scoop left, it all went downhill
Slam has so many other different NBA superstars they could have on their cover. But they always go with LeBron, Wade, AI, Shaq, VC, the usual popular ones < . <
SLAM is alright but they have such an ego, they act like since they put LeBron on his first cover that they own all his rights or something. When a player gets big they always act like they knew before everyone else, it's just gotten lame over the years...I used to be a hardcore SLAM fan. They put AI or LBJ's on every <Censored> cover. The articles get boring I agree, most of the articles are quotes from the players..etc..and half the magazine is advertisments...ehhh... The Sporting News is solid but they don't have as much write up as they used to on the NBA. Sean Deveney is great.
I get Slam a lot, I use to get Inside Stuff. I was going to get Dime when they had their 81cent deal but didn't order it on time.
Inside Stuff is about as interesting as my armpit hair, so I never bothered to get it. Dime is a solid read from time to time also...
I've been getting Slam. It seems to be the best one out there right now, even though they put the same people on the cover every month. And whatever happened to Scoop? The articles aren't that interesting as they were before but it's still a good mag.

The ish that just came out with AI on the cover is #96.
I read SLAM and Sports Illustrated. I like them both.I like Slam because it has good articles, even though they are mainly on the star players, occasionally they will write about other guys like their article on Smush Parker. It gives coverage of younger players and it is basically the only mature basketball magazine so I love it.Sports Illustrated is good as well. It gives me articles on all different sports. I like the SI Players things. Gives me cool things to know about players and stuff. Also I like the Inside sections, they gives short articles on players that are not stars but are improving. I like that they have experienced writers too.
I think SLAM has an agreement with AI to put him on the cover half the time....this months SLAM was hard to read...reading Kobe's <Censored> interview almost made me throw up.
