Well, GB's defense just got a hell of lot better....I read Bates has some control over defensive personel and will work with the GM directly....Now I see a real possibility of a trade bewteen the Packers and the Dolphins....all of miami's players wanted Bates back and Im sure he wants some of them, like either CB....Surtain fits better, but Madison would be cheaper to aquire....I think J. Taylor could be had too for the right price....this just got interesting....Heres an interesting scenraio:Ahman Green has just a year left on his contract, perhaps the Packers arent ready to pony up the dough for him with Davenport playing so well behind him....maybe he becomes available....

Well, ahman will sweat more in Miami, and that means . . . MORE FUMBLES.

I think Saban will what he said he was going to do and build through the draft, I dont anticipate him trading for any veterans or signing any high profile free agents, not even a RB....he may trade for picks though and I bet the Packers would give up a #1 and a little more for Surtain....

Rumor is that Miami could get a 2nd rounder for Surtain or Madison. I personally think this is low.

Here is an idea; Either of the DB's mentioned and Wade Smith to The Packers for QB Craig Nall & a 4th rounder

Craig Nall? Im sure the Packers would do that....I dont want Craig Nall, Id rather have a 7th round draft pick....

I'm extremely happy to have Bates as our new Defensive Coordinator. He was talking pretty big at his press conference. I hope he can deliver HALF of what he promises to deliver. Even that would be an improvement.
