The Charleston Battery (2-0-0) defeated the Dayton Dutch Lions two goals to one as they recorded their second win of the 2011 USL PRO season. The Battery had second half goals by Nicki Paterson and Colin Falvey to claim the win Saturday evening at Miami Valley South Stadium. After a scoreless first half Nicki Paterson found the back of the net early in the second half for the Battery by putting away a rebound from close range, Seedy Bah recorded the assist. In the 58th minute Colin Falvey sent a header into the goal off a free kick from Paterson to make the score 2-0. The Dayton Dutch Lions forward Kolby LaCrone pulled one goal back in 65th minute but the Lions were unable to find the equalizer. The Battery will travel to Richmond next Saturday, April 23 when they face the Kickers at 5:00pm at City Stadium. Charleston's next home match is on Saturday, April 30 as the Battery take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds for "Kick for a Cure" night.
