Batum could leave the NBA for France next season

    How much do you all think he could get a contract for? Josh Childress made ~$10million a year in Europe and it seems like Batum would be a bigger draw locally then Josh.

    The Blazers wouldn't be able to match an international offer but would retain his RFA rights. I'm not sure what the cap hold would be.

    I was under the impression that French basketball wasn't that strong. I'd be surprised if a French team could pay him that much. Could he get 10 million in Spain, or Italy? I don't know that much about the salaries over there, but I doubt he'd get 10 million anywhere but the NBA. I thought Childress got more like 7 million, plus a house and a car.

    Did you look into how much French teams pay? I think you'll find it's, how you say, cacahuètes.
