Well, that's brilliant. We can hold on to all of thsoe calls for a consolidation trade for a little while, now.

Bummer. Too bad he didn't get this taken care of months ago, or maybe it wasn't bad enough to warrant it. Either way he should have been resting for the summer. I don't blame him for trying to improve his game though.

Ellatrache did Tom Brady's surgery. (also he did a rotator cuff on my boss). Its a good clinic and he's a pretty famous doc, hopefully all is well. wonder how long is the recovery.

Thank you for sharing the thought process that crafted your editorial decision to create a new thread instead of joining an existing thread. I know I now feel better about this completely unnecessary thread taking up space.

So, who are we going to start? Webster or Rudy?

I would go for Rudy, myself.

I'd start Webster right now because of his size advantage and him not recovering from back spasms. I have a feeling Rudy is going to work real well off the bench with Miller's posting and alley oop abilities. If there is a matchup advantage around with Rudy in the starting lineup I saw we go for it, but not against Houston; unless he is healthy enough to run Ariza around the entire court.

I'd start Webster...rUdy would probably be a lot better off the bench with his energy.

Yeah, that kind of makes sense. But, I sort of like the idea of Roy/Webster playing the 3 rather than Rudy - so starting Rudy allows Roy to play the 3 next to Rudy, and the 2nd unit has Webster playing the 3 with Bayless playing the 2 next to Miller.

If we start Webster, the 2nd unit will have to have Travis playing the 3 and Howard the 4 - and I think Travis works better at the 4 - and I would like JB to get some burn.

Well I hope Marty, Rudy, Roy and Travis are ready willing and able to commit a little more to the defensive end of the court.

Part of me can't help but wonder if waiving Ime isn't going to bite us in arse a little bit here.

It'd really depend on the matchup if Roy can play small forward or not for any significant amount of time. In crunch time with a lineup of Miller/Fernandez/Roy that's fine because at most it's going to be 6-8 minutes, but he shouldn't play a bulk of minutes there IMO. Unless our offensive becomes more multi-faceted this year then Roy having to expend the energy on defense against bigger threes (especially with Batum out now) it'd be really bad for the team overall IMO.

No clue at this point, but repairing a labrum is a fairly big deal. I expect a long absense from Batum.
