Who here plays ball? I'm in need of some new kicks. My bout with plantar fasciitis has become nearly chronic and this apparently is directly attributable to my crappy shoes. Anyone got any recommendations for light ones with good cushioning and support, so that I can break out my inner Dame on the pickup courts? I did find Dame's old crazy quicks for 70 at finish line but I didn't like how thin those soles were at first glance.
Wonder if you can get some insoles from a podiatrist to help with the plantar fasciitis. They sell over the counter insoles for additional support or padding. I got insoles for my ski boots and it feel like I'm wearing a whole different boot.
I did wear insoles for a bit, but got tired of them sliding around in there. Prolly shouldn't have skimped when I bought those, but I hated the feel
I caved. Bought the Crazyquicks with the Blazer colorways after reading up on it. The cushioning is probably not enough but still better than what I currently wear (some hardcore old school And 1s)This is one sick looking shoe btw.
I always buy Nikes just because I know they don't give my flat feet much trouble. Adidas are the worst for flat feet. I used to work at Sports Authority and would definitely recommend you buy some nice insoles if you have plantar fascitis or any type of condition/ailment. The insole that comes in your shoe is the cheapest part of the shoe and the ones which the manufacturer puts in the shoes are the bare minimum as far as quality goes. I was never one to buy any "extras" but I've been putting insoles in my bball shoes ever since I worked there because a good pair really does help my feet and knees.
I have the Jordan CP3 VII shoes and really like them. I play one to two times a week. Very comfortable. I previously played in Nike Hyperdunks but wasnt a big fan so I sold them, but other people seem to really like them. The new Nike Hyperzoom Rev look cool. I wouldnt mind getting a pair. They are almost like a basketball version of the popular Nike FreeRun shoes.
Nikes are cheap pieces of glued shit. I haven't played in a while, my knees kind of suck....I might try again but then again I dropped my membership at the gym where I had indoor hoops.
This is the most comfortable basketball shoe I've ever had. I liked them so much I bought two more pairs when the first ones wore out. I also used a couple other Converse shoes, they just seemed to fit right. But it looks like they're not making any basketball shoes anymore.
Those shoes are just a scam anyways. No basketball shoe should cost $200, I've never understood why people buy those. Maybe that's cause I've never understood why so many people just go along with these companies brainwashing everyone into thinking their shoes are so cool and they really need them. I've read about how when Jordan's were getting popular, kids would get mugged and sometimes even killed for them. This is one of the reasons I hate Nike.
There really is no difference between people who buy shoes and people who collect memorabilia of whatever they like. No reason to hate a company for taking advantage of a growing trend.
They invented a trend to exploit people to make money. That's not respectable, but it's become common in the world today. Doesn't mean I should like or accept it.
I guess we just disagree then. If there is money to be made then do what will give you the highest dollar and cost you very little to produce. That's just my opinion though.
