Four analysts will compete in a weekly game that will put their knowledge to the test... Who will dominate the rest? Who will prove that they are the top basketball debater on BBW? We will find out, as we begin BBW's weekly game, Around the Horn!I will post one topic for each weekday, meaning there will be five total topics. Each day, the four analysts will give us their opinions, as well as state good points and facts... Monday and Tuesday will be have a regular topic to debate on. On Wednesday, the four players will compete in the "Buy or Sell" round. At the end of the night, one of the four players will be cut, leaving three left. Thursday will have another regular topic, and at the end of the night another player will be cut leaving the final two. Friday will be the "Final Showdown" where winner takes home the win, and is placed on the leaderboard for most career wins. The winner also is guaranteed a spot on the following week's panel.There are only a few rules that you must follow:1) In order to compete in this, you must be active enough to post in each topic you are eligible for. If you can't keep track of this, you will be replaced by a member on the waiting list.2) To make it fair, each of the four players are allowed to make their opening posts, but cannot post again until all other players have. I will keep track of time, so it's best you make your opening post quickly so the others are not waiting for you.3) To prevent spamming and other annoying things, you can make no more than five posts in each topic. This will make sure that you include all of your points, as well as any opinions you have. Plus, it will keep the threads from having more than 2 or 3 pages of posts, which is a good thing considering the game involves proving others wrong based on what they said.4) You can agree with other players, but you cannot repeat what others have said, that will cost you points. It's best if you research other facts or offer other views on your statement, that way it will seem that you know more about the topic.5) We obviously don't want personal attacks, so please be proffesional and respect other people's opinions. We want good arguments, not the sort of thing where people say "So and so would never fit with that team, you don't know what your talking about!" or "You obviously have no knowledge of basketball... You should be kicked out of the game"If you are interested in competing, just sign up and get ready for next week's showdown... If the panel has been filled by the time you see this, sign your name up for the waiting list. The waiting list will go in order of when you signed up, so if you are the first person who signed up, you'll be the first person contacted if someone is kicked off or quits, and you'll be on the following week's panel.As far as topics go, I'm open for suggestions from anyone...
