I'll be running this for the entire first round, so picks #1-30. Each voting period lasts a day, so I will be making a poll for the next pick every day. Whoever has the most votes on the poll after that day is complete, will be put at that position on the BBW mock. I would prefer everybody to post their reasoning for their picks, but at the very least we need as many votes as possible. I also don't expect a whole lot of responses for the first 2 picks. I will be locking this thread, it's for viewing only (I'll edit it every day, after the votes are placed). This thread will be open for discussion after all the picks are made. Also, after the votes are in and the pick has been made on the BBW mock (after a day's time), I'll be setting the completed polls as invisible threads, so the draft section doesn't get cluttered with 30 of these threads. What is the point of this? Nobody wins anything, it's just for fun. It allows us to see everybody's take on all of these young prospects and it also can stir up some good conversation. So, have fun with it, and let the voting begin! <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">1.</span> C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Greg Oden</span> (Ohio State) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">2.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Kevin Durant</span> (Texas) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">3.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Mike Conley Jr.</span> (Ohio State) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">4.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Al Horford</span> (Florida) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">5.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Brandan Wright</span> (North Carolina) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">6.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Corey Brewer</span> (Florida) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">7.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Jeff Green</span> (Georgetown) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">8.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Yi Jianlian</span> (China) <span style="color:#FFFFFF">0</span><span style="color:#FF0000">9.</span> C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Spencer Hawes</span> (Washington) <span style="color:#FF0000">10.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Julian Wright</span> (Kansas) <span style="color:#FF0000">11.</span> F/C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Joakim Noah</span> (Florida) <span style="color:#FF0000">12.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Al Thornton</span> (Florida State) <span style="color:#FF0000">13.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Nick Young</span> (USC) <span style="color:#FF0000">14.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Acie Law IV</span> (Texas A&M) <span style="color:#FF0000">15.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Thaddeus Young</span> (Georgia Tech) <span style="color:#FF0000">16.</span> F/C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Tiago Splitter</span> (Brazil) <span style="color:#FF0000">17.</span> F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Josh McRoberts</span> (Duke) <span style="color:#FF0000">18.</span> F/C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Jason Smith</span> (Colorado State) <span style="color:#FF0000">19.</span> G/F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Marcus Williams</span> (Arizona) <span style="color:#FF0000">20.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Javaris Crittenton</span> (Georgia Tech) <span style="color:#FF0000">21.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Rodney Stuckey</span> (Eastern Washington) <span style="color:#FF0000">22.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Arron Afflalo</span> (UCLA) <span style="color:#FF0000">23.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Rudy Fernandez</span> (Spain) <span style="color:#FF0000">24.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Marco Belinelli</span> (Italy) <span style="color:#FF0000">25.</span> G/F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Derrick Byars</span> (Vanderbilt) <span style="color:#FF0000">26.</span> G/F - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Morris Almond</span> (Rice) <span style="color:#FF0000">27.</span> G - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Gabe Pruitt</span> (USC) <span style="color:#FF0000">28.</span> C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Marc Gasol</span> (Spain) <span style="color:#FF0000">29.</span> F/C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Sean Williams</span> (Boston College) <span style="color:#FF0000">30.</span> C - <span style="font-size:10pt;line-height:100%">Aaron Gray</span> (Pittsburgh)
Alright guys, this is complete. I think it looks pretty solid, although I disagree with a couple things (such as Wright going to Boston even if he's available, Conley at 3, Noah falling out of the top 10, etc.). Your thoughts?
I think its okay, sortve generic but thats how it ended up. Too bad on draft night we are going to look at this and say "well, we were way off..."

Too bad on draft night we are going to look at this and say "well, we were way off..."</div> Yeah, it's tough though, because a lot of people have changed their views on things from a month ago... hell, even a day or two ago. My mock looks much different than it would have 2-3 weeks ago, as does everybody else's. This was just for fun though, I had fun with it.
Yeah, ive changed my mock a bit since two weeks ago. If you look at my mock now, its very different, yet I feel the draft might end up like that...
We now know that the Hawks probably will take Horford instead of Mike Conley...It's too bad that we started this a month ago, because sh*t changes.

Why wouldn't Atlanta take Mike Conley? All over ESPN and Realgm, the articles state that Atlanta has a point guard in sights. They know they F*cked up not taking Chris Paul, so why wouldn't they take Conley now? Also, I think they're set at the PF spot, Josh Smith plays it pretty effectively, I don't think he's a SF at all. All they really need is a center after they take Conley, and they can probably get Joakim Noah at 11 (Zaza Pachulia may have had some decent numbers during the season, but we all know that he doesn't cut it as their starting center).

They can get MUCH better value and fill two big holes if they take a big at 3 and Law at 11. Law is even more NBA-ready than Conley is. Noah is more than likely a top 10 pick, he won't be there at 11, and the rest of the players available at 11 are swingmen, which Atlanta obviously doesn't need. Go Horford and Law and you fill your 2 biggest holes and both are ready to contribute right away. And Josh Smith is a 3 that is forced to play the 4 in Atlanta because they don't have a real big man. Can he get away with it for now, yeah, but he is certainly a 3. He's an athletic player that likes to get out on the run and use his quickness, he couldn't handle real big men to save his life.

We can get a PG at 11 and there's no guarentee that Conley will be better than Crittenton. Josh Smith is not a PF, he never has been and he never will be. He has been forced to play it at times because of our lack of depth at that position but he is a SF truly.. I would LOVE Noah at 11 but everybody's high on him and everybody would love a Noah on their team - I don't see us getting him unless we trade up.
I suppose they could get better value with Horford at 3 and then Law at 11.. but I still the PG spot is a bigger spot to fill for them than their PF spot. Also, what's the deal with Shelden Williams?

I think he'll be solid in those two categories though, so I'm not worried.
From what ive been hearing on NBAtv, ATL might be bluffing, they will end up taking Conley at 3 and Jianlian, Brandan Wright or Noah is expected to drop which they will take...
