The FSU fans are delusional.... They think they'll pass us before the end of the season.

They're talking like they have the tougher SoS.

Don't they only have one ranked team left, and we play a team ranked higher than that one that same week?

They have Miami left, who is ranked 7th.

They will also have a chance to play a ranked opponent in the ACC championship. That's it though.

We still have Stanford, we have Oregon State (who I am hoping can crawl back into the top 25 before the Civil War), and then we have UCLA again in the championship game (if we win the PAC12 north).

We need UCLA to win out, we need Oregon State to keep winning, and we need UW to keep winning so that our win over them looks good.

Excellent! I thought we had to beat Stanford first to get to #2.

I'd like to play ASU in the conference title game.

FSU has a good shot at #2 after beating Miami next week. Then UO will be #2 assuming they beat Stanford in 2 weeks. After that, UO has a lock on #2 if they don't lose.

Still ambivalent about the notion of a potential 'Bama loss. Not sure if I'd rather see 'Bama or FSU in the BCS.

It really only comes down to the human polls, they are 2/3rds of the BCS. What will the voters think? I'd expect UO to get the nod if they win out but if FSU wins out with their east coast bias they will have a heck of a lot of votes.

I'd root for Oregon against both, and I want you to curb-stomp Alabama, but I think you'd have a harder time beating FSU right now. Not to say you wouldn't be favored, (while being underdogs against 'Bama), but personally I think that Winston, given 6 weeks to prepare, will rip someone's throat out.

Nah, Oregon has gotten enough press over the last 5 years (and the ACC enough negative press) that UO doesn't need to "show me" anymore. FSU does, and will, especially with MIA and VaTech continuing to look shaky. If Clemson stumbles again, it'll (maybe unfairly) take away from what FSU's doing.

    FSU looked unbelievable against Clemson.

The ACC is not a football conference. I'd dare say that the reason Miami isn't the U anymore, and FSU isn't a top three team yearly is directly reflective of them joining the ACC! When both of those teams were independents they played ND,UF, Michigan, South Carolina, Nebraska, Oklahoma and each other regularly. Their strengths of schedules were lethal! Now FSU plays Bethune Cookman, Nevada and Idaho out of conference and their serious competition is Clemson and Va Tech who just got handled by DUKE in conference. Miami barely escaped Wake Forrest last weekend. I'm sorry but these two storied programs are NOT what they once were. Not even close! I've heard FSU is the most complete team outside of Bama now!? On what merit? Beating a massive pretender in Clemson who struggled with Maryland and running over a joke of a conference like the ACC? Sure that's a resume for BAMA, and I know we Ducks should fear a team that just rolled a team = Colorado in NC State. It's one thing when SEC fans bump their chests daily but when ACC fans start squawking my feathers fly!

Which ACC fans are you hearing squawk? They're not getting nearly the pub that UO is getting, and they could have the story of the year in Winston (who seems to be 3x the player that Johnny-F******-Football, guh, is). The ACC is holding them back.

As much as I like the Pac-12, it's kind of disintegrating around you the same way you're laughing at the ACC. Stanford loses to Utah, and squeaks by the Beavs and UW, and you're going to be your marquee win? OSU (whether they deserve to be ranked or not) losing to a FCS team? It works both ways. Do you think UCLA is looked at better nationally than Clemson or MIA?

UCLA and UW could both beat Clemson and Miami by 10 without a doubt. The Beavs, UCLA and UW are quality teams and I'd pick Stanford over FSU tomorrow. BTW- Manziel beat Bama and most of the SEC. Winston beat an untested Clemson team given a #3 ranking without earning it. Now outside of Miami who FSU is picked to beat by 20+ who else has Winston played with a pulse? That's not a resume that's a gift for a Heisman campaign! I also think Ohio St. would wipe the floor with FSU too!

Teddy B and Winston both will have great #'s against sub par teams in awful conferences, so of course they'll look great!

Clemson beat Georgia to earn that #3 ranking. Clemson torched the shit out of #14 S. Carolina to earn that #3 ranking.

BC's the only team to be within 30 points of FSU, including 2 ranked teams. Look, if you were talking about Ohio St or Baylor I'd be right with you. But FSU has shown to be a very legit offense, playing against legit defenses, and putting up a show against them. That's all I'm saying.

And while you might pick UW and UCLA by 10 over Clemson and MIA, I highly doubt that anyone outside Eugene or Seattle would.

If Stanford losses to USC or Norte Dame the Ducks only decent win would be against a 3 loss team. Meanwhile FSU could have three superior victories over Miami, Clemson, and the ACC champ. I'm sure a number of voters will vote for FSU and it could be a much closer pick than some people currently think.

Realistically, since Oregon is on a Bye I think FSU will pass over the Ducks. A win over a top 8 team is good...

Until we thump Stanford and switch back to #2. Here's to LSU beating Alabama so we get to play against Famous Jameis

Georgia isn't even ranked at this point though, right?

South Carolina has also shown to be a completely overrated program.

The only decent win is over Clemson, and Clemson really isn't that impressive right now either.

Oh I'm definitely not counting my chickens yet. Stanford is a huge hurdle to get over (as proven last year). Long way to go. I just find it ridiculous that some people think FSU has a tougher schedule than Oregon.
