So I'm a bit superstitious. Somehow, back when I was a kid, I managed to associate how well I did in school with how well the Blazers played that night. It's stuck with me to this day. And I got to thinking, why not write these crazed rantings down and see how I did, based off how I thought my days between games went? So here it is, the premiere edition of BC's Blazers Horoscope: First Quarter: Blazers will come out looking good. They're ready for this game, and they have plays running and humming. Some good passing and lots of assists. Second Quarter: The good streak continues for a while, but the team gets lazy. There's one horrible exchange that nearly causes catastrophe but the Blazers recover. At halftime, the game is closer than it was after the first quarter, but it's not a disaster. Third Quarter: Memphis comes out hard, and the Blazers are reeling. A few turnovers at inopportune times set things up for the Grizz to take the lead. Doesn't look good for our heroes. A scuffle either between Blazers or with the Grizz shows things are a bit chippy. Fourth Quarter: The Blazers calm down, and get down to business. The team comes back and keeps the game close. It stays close down the line, but this time, at the end, there's some nice little things that give the Blazers the edge. It's a tiring game, but the Blazers come out with a well-earned win.
