That's crock of shit. The fans weren't mocking Owusu, they were booing the refs for the bullshit PF penalty. It was a ridiculous call as Owusu lowered his head before the collision.
Maybe players on the field hear things that fans up in the stands can't hear. Both players seem to have recalled specific things being said specifically about the injury - so, that's a little strange. That said, if could have just been a few fans who don't represent all of the Beav fans there.

I've seen a lot of fans complaining about this. Something strange is happening because he keeps suffering these head injuries. Most WR's do get down before contact and there's often some helmet to helmet contact - so its a tough call. Possibly the kid never fully recovered and is more prone with contact to be injured...i dunno. Just saw the replay for the first time (didnt see any of the game) unfortunate that Owusu was hurt again, and I wish him the best, but thats a lot of head injuries for him, scary stuff. But BS call for sure. RE: Oregon booing. Yes there has been booing (I dislike it) I'm sure some still boo when they realize its serious, but I would say most stop or clap for the player when being carted off, as I'm sure was the case with OSU fans. A few dipwits who did stupid sh*t regarding Owusu's injury dont represent the fanbase.
Yes, booing happens. As you're probably aware, and I can understand the majority of fans were booing a the call by the refs, Oregon fans are booing the game approach and calls (which we've seen time and time again) to cheat - and break clear cut rules - by faking injuries to make defensive adjustments. But, it always stops when fans realize it isn't just yet another fake. I can't recall any playerS going public with claims of fans making fun of an injured player and directly mocking an injury at Autzen though. Nice spin.
