John Danks is enjoying success and making it look easy with a string of impressive performances of late.

But the left-hander knows that getting to this point -- nearly two years removed from shoulder surgery -- was anything but easy.

"It's been a long, frustrating road to get back to here," Danks said. "There were some days where you were having to fight doubt from creeping in.
    "I think I'm beyond that."

Gordon Beckham and Dayan Viciedo hit two-run home runs, Danks pitched effectively into the seventh inning and the Chicago White Sox snapped a four-game losing streak with an 8-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night.
