Belichick might make some more moves

Patriots coach Bill Belichick joined The Big Show Monday and discussed the flurry of moves made by the team over the weekend. In getting the roster down to 53 players, the team cut the likes of Derrick Burgess, whom Belichick said can still play in the NFL. The team also added safety Jarrad Page and linebacker Tracy White.

Of the 25-year-old Page, Belichick said the safety is "very sharp, understands concepts, [and] picks things up pretty quickly." He called White, who came over from Philadelphia, an "outstanding special teams player."

Asked if the team was done dealing, whether through trades or picking up recently released veterans, Belichick said the team hasn't stopped the process just yet.

"I think there can definitely be more movement," Belichick said. "I don't know exactly what that is, but I think there's still a lot of personnel juggling that we're talking about, and so are other teams. Other teams have called us and so forth. Of course, you want to have your roster set going into opening day, you want to get it set as soon as possible, but at the same time, it's a long season and if you can make a move that strengthens the team now for the next 16 weeks, I think there's enough time for that type of move to pay off. You want to consider it, and we always have and I think we always will."
