If it gets too much he will have surgery and miss about 2 months according to twitter. http://riveraveblues.com/2014/05/feinsand-carlos-beltran-will-try-play-elbow-injury-103781/
I like a team with a blend of youth and veteran presence and the Yankees have arrived at that situation. If Beltran does go Almonte is out there in right glad to see him get a shot. At this point in time the Yankees position player wise seem to have the what ifs covered. If the younger pitchers can step up and Girardi gets his pen a bit better things will be OK. The AL East Teams all have problems of one sort or another lets just hope the Yankees solve theirs sooner than the rest.
Jill I was pushing for Morales during spring training being a DH/1B I thought we could use him. But as of now he'd be nothing more then a 10M bench player
Honestly I'd rather see him get the surgery now so he'll be healthy when the playoffs begin. (assuming the Yankees get there). JMO.
...we should know within a week or so if he'll need surgery or not...if so, he should still be back for any PS games.
