    Congrats to Gordon.

As a Celtic fan, I obviously wanted Ricky Davis to win, but I think the Bulls reliance on Gordon put him over the edge in this vote. Davis is important to the Celtics, but not as important most nights as Gordon is to the Bulls. Not only that, but the Celtics don't have to rely on a Rookie as thier go to guy in the 4th, which also helps Gordon's case, IMO.

Regardless, most people can make a reasonable arguement for either guy, so if RD had to lose to someone, at least we know that it was someone worthy of the same consideration.

Very well deserved. Ben Gordon won many games for the Bulls in the 4th quarter off of the bench, although Ricky deserved it just as much, I don't think the Celtics depended on him as much as the Bulls did on Gordon.

Congrats Ben. Is he the first rookie to win 6th man? If so all I have to say it wow!
Ricky had an exellent year, and is really a better player then Ben right now. But bt ben being a rookie combined with the bulls coming out of the slums put him over the top.
    Go BULLS!

Congrats to Ben. If I'm correct, he IS the first rookie to ever win the award. Ricky was a well deserving individual as well, but Ben did a lot for this team, more then Ricky I think. He came in off the bench and produced in the 4th when it mattered the most. Also, what might have hurt Ricky is the fact that he got starter minutes pretty much (32.9 mpg), and wasn't always the main offense down the stretch of the game like Ben was. Nonetheless, both were deserving, but one had to lose.

He definately deserved it, he's been clutch all season long, and has been doing good things for the Bulls. He's the first rookie in the Award's History to win it, so that's an accomplishment in itself.

Yeah, BG definitely deserved it...that man was clutch this season, as a rookie for a playoff team...Congratulations to ben on a great year, now if he develops his all-around game, he'll be downright scary in a few years!

Ben Gordon is amazing, in the last few weeks he's gone from being one of my not liked players to one of my favorite players, he's just that damn good. Well deserved by Ben, he should get ROY as well just because of how big his role is on his team. No disrespect to Emeka or Dwight though, there good too but Ben's season has just been phenominal.

NOTE: Two Bens have won both awards announced so far, lol.

Much deserved for Gordon and let's hope it sparks his game. Great to see him be the first rookie to ever win that award. Just tops off an excellent draft by Paxson.

Ben Gordon defines 6th man. The first player to come off the bench and make the biggest impact. And thats what exactly Gordon did. Congrats to Ben and good luck in the playoffs.
