He has played in five games, and not played in five others, since coming off the injured list Jan. 15. He has performed as fitfully as he has appeared, scoring 20 points on 9-of-26 shots, with three assists and seven turnovers. Bender said he was told by Dan Dyrek, a Boston-based physical therapist who works with the Pacers, that there would be setbacks.
