Does anybody believe like i do that the bengals can win the whole damn thing this year. It will be a long shot, but their offense is superb, and their defense is much improved...what do u think

The AFC is so stacked, I think the Bengals will have a tough time making the playoffs this year. Carson Palmer's development is the determining factor. If he wakes up and decides he's the next Ben Roethlisberger, they might have a solid season.

No Superbowl this year, though, barring an act of God...

haha ok first off yes it is a long shot, but they are tough, and secondly Ben Roethlisberger is hyped more than he is good. Good play yes, but not great like everyone makes him out to be.

    Welcome to the boards!

Time will tell if Big Ben is good or if he had a fluke year. My money's on good.

My overall point, though, is that Carson Palmer needs to step up this year if the Bengals are to have a shot. I agree they have a lot of weapons and their defense improves every year.

The Packers play them this season in Cincy and I'm not looking forward to it.

haha yeah carsons got a lot to prove, if you look at his numbers they werent that good 18 tds 18 ints but i watched every game and personally watched him mature with the offense until he got hurt, i also believe that if he doesnt get hurt last year the bengals win that game in new england, and they beat the bills the next week and make the playoffs, and no thats not biased.

If his name were "Michael Vick," those numbers would have gotten him to the Pro Bowl last year. [IMG]

PA, that kind of comment I would expect from BF1 but not you. I'll let that one go.

Back to the original question. I dont think the Bengals will take it all this year, I would be very surprised if they did. I just think theres too much competition this upcoming season.

No one thought The Pats would make the playoffs in 2000-2001 or that area, you know what I mean. Ofcourse I need to say No, but you can't count out a team before the season. Look what happened to San Diego.

ya...sure thats not biased...but at the time the Bills were hotter than your bengals..and it was Carson that threw a pick for a touchdown in that game against New England that put us up 21-7 and from that point on we weren't as aggressive as I would have liked but we came away with the win and were up two TD's on the bengals for almost the entire game while our offense ran the clock at will...your defense had no answers and as usual even when our D isn't dominating they cause enough turnovers to win the game. Also Kitna came in and played well...and don't get me wrong the bengals played us very tough but to say if he didn't get hurt you would have won can only be biased.... or at least a big IF.

Welcome hoodie, the chances of the Bengals winning it all is slim to none. First of all, they have a tough division with the Ravens and the Steelers. And even if they do get past them (which is unlikely) then they would have to go against maybe the Chargers, Raiders, Colts, or the dynasty which we call the Patriots. And if they do beat them (which is virtually impossible) they might have to go play against the NFC Champions which is still an unknown.

If i had hacked your account it would have been:

Those numbers would have gotten him to the pro bowl if he was michael vick, mostly because he had a deal worked out with farve to lay down so he could go in.

That's funny, because I held off quoting off of Pack's comment and saying that the Bengals can win easily if they get some help from Favre and Strahan.

yeah youre right pats thats a humungous if, but the way the bengals were playing at that moment in the game and if carson was in i dont think he would've thrown that pick that kitna threw to troy brown. Kitna didnt play bad no but Carson would've played better. And secondly, the bills were hot at that time but if u watched the game you would've seen jon kitna cost us the game. He played abysmal at the very best, his small hands in that cold weather made him virtually ineffective

I personally think the Bengals take their division by quite a bit. I say the steelers drop off a little go 8-8 or 9-7, and The Ravens pick up a Wild Card.

Cincinatti is my Number 2 and like them almost as much as I like the Packers(I cant wait for their matchup next year!), Cinci is gonna be a force next year and my personal choice to dethrown New England, I say if these two meet in the playoffs Cinci takes it, oh yeah and if Carson would have played in the last 3 games He would have wiped the floor with New England and Buffalo, John didn't play bad at all but he appeared a little rusty(Sittin the bench all season will do it to you) Carson is going to finally lead this team to the playoffs next year, The Superbowl may be a little stretch but I can see them going to the NFC title game.

hahaha this is not even funny. THe bengals will not make the playoffs thier division is way too good and i dont see them better than 8-8, 9-7 at best. Sure they are up and ocming but not this year there are too many better teams. The Ravens and the Steelers will do better than them.

This is laughable at best....Ya I see why its logical to think a guy who has never made the playoffs is going to this year and at the same time play the Pats and win...most likely in new england...but I mean we're only 9-0 with belichick in the playoffs...no big deal. I'm just sorry you actually believe what you wrote. At least hoodie can take a step back a look at the situation objectively and hes a real bengals fan...oh by the way welcome to the board Hoodie.
