This is very good news. 21 years old, great size, good athleticism for his size, looks like a pretty good run blocker... We may finally be able to run a 2 TE set with efficiency.
He's going to be sick if he can grow up mentally. I'll admit it was pretty awesome on his 20+ catch and run to hear Korneisher (butchered that) yell "High and tight! High and tight!"
Agreed. If he's mentally all there, we could very well have ourselves another Witten (whom, some draft magazines compared him too, pre-draft)
I like Bennett as well, it's just a matter of him getting the right mentality. He's got all the physical tools and talent to make it in the league, it's just a matter of putting the whole package together, which he is, by all means, capable of doing.
With John Garrett on his case, its a good thing. Garrett really got Witten blocking at a great level last year. Amazing, actually.
