Today he said that he would join any team in england and spain in champions league next season. he's scored 16 goals in the prem behind ronaldo and drogba and he is playing for an average club. with liverpools quality McCarthy would defiently score 20 goals and he will be around 6-10 mil which isnt bad for a goalscorer.. anyone else think he would be a good signing? then buy m.g pedersen who can get all the crosses into benni and crouchy then hopefully sign etoo and get rid of bellamy so we would have 4 strikers for the prem then voronin for carling cup!

You said exactly the same thing when you signed Bellamy.

Can't you see that it doesn't matter how good a player is and how many goals he scores for other clubs once he signs for Liverpool and plays in Rafa's system he will always score less. You play so totally negatively.Away from home especially you go on the pitch with a point and Rafa is happy if you come off the pitch with a point. In Spain it works as the title can be won on 75 points.

Oh that reminds me,Rafa did say 75 points would win the league this year didn't he [IMG] Even if he'd been right you still wouldn't have got it.

Quite frankly, I've had enough of transfer speculation surrounding Benni McCarthy. I'm probably the only Rovers fan on this site, so I'll say it for all of them - yes we could lose him, but Hughes will do EVERYTHING he can to keep him. What makes you think he'll go to Liverpool? Is it because Bellamy left for Liverpool at the end of last season? Most likely. And look what Bellamy is doing now, playing rotation with the rest of them.

Benni knows it's in his best interests to stay at a 'lowly' club like Rovers because he can get a consistent run out every week.

Meh, Kop fans, I ain't being rude but you seem to think that you're blessed with a magnetism to attract anyone who want. You're not going to win the league, not in a long time, Benitez or no Benitez. You might be Champions League winners, but anyone can win a tournament, and only a few can win a league.
