This guy needs to be in the hockey hall of fame when he ends his coaching career. What he has done for Rangers goaltending in his time here has been nothing short of revelatory. Lundqvist was hardly on any NHL organizations radar when he was draft and he is going into the hall...Igor, who granted was a very highly regarded prospect, seems destined to follow in Hanks footsteps. But, to me what is way more impressive is what he has done with backup goaltenders. The Rangers have produced a number of starting goaltenders from backup roles. Georgiev, Raanta, Talbot all went on to be starting goaltenders for other teams for years. He also has helped the veteran goalies they have brought in and restored them into reliable if not very good backups. With Halak last year and Quick this year, it's just insane what he has been able to do with them.
