This is REALLY freaking cool! Part one is a selection of clips from Berlin from 1890-1920, and part two is a selection of clips from around 1910 (these dates are according to the descriptions in the videos). Just think...the youngest child featured in these videos probably had a family of their own, with teenage children, by the time Hitler invaded Poland. That is really cool.
An interesting period for my family. We had several members shot, gassed or died from starvation in Germany during that period.
Well. I'm sure you go back far enough you will find that in every family. But yes it's really depressing, on one side (the American side) the soldiers come home. On the other side they pretty much all died. There is a good video on Youtube about the human cost of WWI and II I believe. It is quite eye opening. The Jews and Russians, I mean.... my god. This can never happen again!
