We have a lot of these threads in the NBA forum (too much in fact) but none here so I thought i would throw at least one out... WHo are the 3 best college 3-point shooters you've ever seen? Off the top of my head in this order, mines are: 1. Curtis Staples (Virginia) 2. Wally Szczerbiak (Miami of OH) 3. Trajan Langdon(Duke)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Big Nasty:</div><div class="quote_post">1. Keith "Mister" Jennings,ETSU 2.Steve Kerr,Arizona 3.Trajan Langdon,Duke</div> I never heard of Jennings, when did he play?? Gots to do me some reseach I was too young to see Kerr play in college, wish i did tho. I didn't even know he came from Arizona....man, where's staples on your list, dude was a bomber

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ravenous:</div><div class="quote_post">What NBA team did Jennigs play for!</div> i don't think he made it... EDIT: I just looked it up and found that he played for GS http://www.basketballreference.com/players...ilkid=JENNIKE01
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ravenous:</div><div class="quote_post">What NBA team did Jennigs play for!</div> he was undrafted. All the scouts loved his game but he was supposed to be too small,he made Golden State's roster and was makin' a splash before he tore up his knee...damn shame too.
The best three-point shooter in college basketball just played last year. His name is Darnell Archie and he hit 99 out of 100 freethrows last season. He broke NCAA Free-Throw and Three-Point records and won the NCAA Three-Point contest. Why isn't he in the NBA? He's a little guy and plays shooting guard. He can't handle the ball and he has no passing skills. He's the best pure shooter alive though.
I do not see how J.J. Reddick's name is not mentioned. He is without a doubt the best shooter in America at the college level. He has unlimited range, can shoot off the dribble as well as off the screen. His play last night against Maryland is just an example of how dangerous he can be. He might be the best shooter I have ever seen play college basketball.
Agree with Dexter, JJ Redick is the best three-point shooter in college basketball and maybe the best in the history of the game. The ESPN experts have been debating it,most agree he is the best they have ever seen from three-point land. His streak of 54 straight free-throws end last week but he is shooting 98% from the line in total this season and he gets to the line consistantly. You leave this guy open at all time during a game,he will burn you.

lol.. RAY ALLEN. so far down in this thread, and he's YET to be brought up? give me a break! he's my all time favorite, hands down. another more recent candidate: dan dickau, and someone brought up unlimited range?.. ha. ;0 allan houston was great at tennessee as well. those are my choices.

Reddick I agree Reddick is awesome, but I was basing my decisions on complete NCAA careers and not current players.

I'm glad somebody recognizes this guy, my father describes him as a faster and taller Steve Kerr. Pure shooting is this guy's business, plus he provides good D, one of the better and one of my favorites of the NCAA, it'll be so awesome once he turns pro. He's senior next year, correct?
J.J. Reddick? Yes, he is good, but not nearly as good as Archie. Reddick had a streak of 54 straight free-throw, but <u>Archie had a streak of ninety-nine of a hundred straight free-throws and finished the season shooting 97% or so from the strike </u>(didn't shoot too many free-throws as a Senior, mostly Junior because once everyone knew he could knock them down non-stop, no one fould him). There is no question that Archey was the best of all time. Being a big-name player like Ray Allen or J.J. Reddick doesn't make you one of the best shooters of all-time. You have to look at players on teams other than UCLA, Kentucky, North Carolina, Michigan State, Kansas, Duke, etc. and look at players on Butler, Ball St., Pepperdine, etc. because a lot of times the best shooters in college basketball play for small name schools but never make it big because of height or lack of other nessicary skills. Archey only averaged ten points, but he was second in the NCAA in 3-pt percentage, has the all-time free throw record, and won the three point contest. Why isn't he better than Reddick?
I cant believe people have said Chris Mullin yet. He could light it up from outside. I say when JJ Redick is done his College Career he will be number 1 but right now I think its Mullin.

Reddick will be the best three-point shooter of all time. You've admitted yourself that you don't know pretty much anything about the history of college basketball. That statement was bias at it's best.
