I dont know if this was a topic while i was gone, but i'll go ahead and make a topic on it. What team do you think had the best draft this year? And also who had the worst? Here's mine:Chicago Bulls-Tyrus Thomas and Thabo SefoloshaPortland Trailblazers-LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Sergio Rodriguez, and Joel FreelandI think those two teams tied for having the best draft. Both got 2 players that should contribute right away(Thomas, Sefolosha, Aldridge, and Roy) and that should become starters within 3 years. Portland also got 2 players that can come in and contribute off the bench as role players within a few years. Worst Draft- New York Knicks-Renaldo Balkman, Mardy CollinsThe Knicks took Balkman at number 20 when they could of took him in the 2nd round because NO ONE was going to pick him in the first round. They SHOULD of took Marcus Williams, Rajon Roindo, or Kyle Lowry. Now Mardy Collins wasnt a bad pick, but they wouldnt of picked him if they had picked one of the 3 point guards. They could of picked Joel Freeland or Kosta Perovic or Marcus Vinicius while all three are projects somewhat, they are all from overseas and probably could leave them to develop. What are your thoughts?

It's been done before, but we've been redoing tons of topics anyway. I would say the Blazers had the best draft. They pick up an NBA ready guard in Brandon Roy, who is one of the top candidates for ROY. He had a great summer league as well. He is a good shooter, good driver, good passer, and a decent defender and overall scorer. He can also play both guard spots at 6"5 because of his great court vision. Also, LaMarcus Aldridge was a great pick. He will be one of the best PF's in the draft when it's all said and done. He is a good shotblocker, decent defender, he is quick, lanky, athletic, he can run the floor, and also hit the occasional jumper. He will be a really good player. I dont know much about Joel Freeland, but hopefully he will do a decent job.The worst draft was probably the Knicks. I bet Renaldo Balkman will be a stiff in the NBA. He doesnt have good skills at all. I mean, he averaged fewer than 10 ppg last year. He was no where near there on the depth charts. All he will be good at is hustling after the ball and getting the occasional inside shot. He will sit on the bench next to Jerome James. And Mardy Collins is a poor shooter, and scorer, and he doesnt have a position either. I dont expect him to do anything either.

No doubt its the Blazers. Getting Roy and Aldridge in the same draft is a great plus to your team. Some other teams that I think did pretty well:Utah - They got Brewer to fill their hole at the SG spot, a guy with very good PG skills and quickness. A Deron Williams/Ronnie Brewer backcourt would be very fun to watch. Add that to getting Paul Milsap who dominated in his college conference, and Dee Brown, who played with Deron at Illinois. New Orleans - Getting a good SF/PF defender in Cedric Simmons was nice, their big man depth is great. They also got Hilton Armstrong, who is a good weak-side shot blocker and clean the glass as well. They improved defensively in this draft.EDIT: BTW I made this same topic in the NBA draft board a while back.

New Jersey's back to back picks of Marcus Williams and Josh Boone are the best if you go by value of the pick. Seattle had a poor draft because Sene could be a huge flop. They could have played it safe with a Cedric Simmons, or a Hilton Armstrong.

New Jersey addressed their greatest needs which were getting a backup PG and a big, strong PF who can run the floor. They did just that in the draft. It's a good thing they picked Marcus Williams because they'd be screwed with no backup PG when Jacque Vaughn leaves. Seattle's GM is retarded..their 3rd project big man after Petro and Swift, that pick made no sense. What a waste of the 10th pick.

I dont know. They got Denham Brown at 44, which I think was a huge snag. I feel Denham is good at alot of things, and he will be a good role player in the NBA. Plus, Im excited for another Canadian to be in the League :happy0144:

First off, Josh Boone isn't a strong PF. He needs to bulk up. He's pretty skinny.Saer Sene could end up being the best of the three. He's new to the game, but he has amazing athletic ability. So it can't be a total waste. But three straight like that is pretty pathetic.

And he actually pretty strong, too. Sene is a BIG project. He's only started playing basketball for 2-3 years, which is why I think its a bad pick for Seattle, because he still has a lot to learn. He has a good wingspan and all, but I dont get why they needed another project. They should have gotten guys to build around Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis.
