The "Simpsons vs. Family Guy" thread gave me this idea. What is your favourite episode of the Simpsons? It seems like mine changes every time I see another episode from Season 3 or 4. Right now I can't stop laughing whenever I think of the episode where Bart gets an elephant. The jokes just kept coming in:

Elephant Refuge Guy: Well, elephants are really just like people. Some are nervous or shy in new areas. And, like people, some elephants are just plain jerks....Stop that Mr. Simpson.... (Homer headbutts him repeatedly)

I also love the episode where Homer stops going to Church and the one where they go under the Witness Protection Program to get away from Sideshow Bob (- Oooh, IceCreamville. - No, Screamville. - Aahhh!)

The episode where Nelson Laughs at the tall guy in the compact car(with his imfamous "HA!! HAAA!!!"). The Guy says "This is all I can afford!!".

When the tall guy gets out of the car Nelson Bolts. But the guy is so tall he can walk faster than Nelson can run. When he catches Nelson he goes "Look everyone here is the kid who laughs at everyone". He then pulls down Nelsons pants and makes him parade thru Springfield. While the whole town laughs at him he says "I don't like that" .............. Classic!

The Shelbyville vs springville episodes were always funny(lemon tree). Also so the New Springville Vs Springville.

Theres too many nice episodes that i can't even think of one [IMG]

One of my fav parts of the Simpsons is where Apu has the 8 kids (autuplets or whatever) and theyre cash strapped and Marge gives them banana bread and Apu talks back sarcastically

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">
    Marge:
I knew you had your hands full with the babies, so I baked you some banana bread.
Apu (sarcastic): Oh hallelujah, our problems are solved. We have banana bread.
Marge: Well, you don't have to be sarcastic.</div>
    Audio

    <font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><font size="2"><div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Marge: Maybe you two should get a nanny.
Apu: Yes, and what would I pay her with? Banana bread? Sorry, sorry, it's just that we haven't slept in days, and we're running out of money and ... banana bread? What the hell were you thinking? Banana bread. Apologize, apologize again. As a token of forgiveness, please take this baby.
    Homer: No, Marge, no!</div>

I never seen that episode, but that's kinda why Simpsons has been going downhill for quite some time now.... they resort to shock humor to get some cheap laughs (e.g. slitting wrists, chopping thumbs off, etc). That particular episode can probably get away with it b/c it's a halloween episode, but still, without comedic genius, shock humor gets lame real fast.

Anyways, choosing a single episode is extremely hard considering seaons 3-7 were all classics in my book. But if I were to choose one, it'll probably be the one where the Germans took over the powerplant. Not because it's the funniest of them all, but because it was the first episode that I remember where you knew they were on to something special.... (the "land of chocolate" scene was absolutely hilarious and something we've never really seen before).

The "Bart is gay" episode where homer befriends a gay guy. homer is afraid bart is gay too so he makes him do manly stuff. The funniest part is when on one of the manly trips they go to the "AJAX Steel Mill" and if youve seen this episode you know what happens at the Steel Mill. Too funny

If u want to watch heres the episode.

I forget what episode it was, but the one where Homer, Lenny and the gang are riding in some sort of minicart and Homer's using the "RapMaster 2000" with the 'Can't Touch This' music playing in the background and he's telling everyone to get back inside or something like that...and all these guys are like..."IT'S MC HAMMER!!!" and people just start dancing behind their car.
