Which players help the most in clogging up the paint from guards and penetration the best? Whether it is by taking a charge or blocking shots.

Big Al Jefferson is amazing at taking charges. He probably has more charges drawn in his career than blocking fouls. Gotta admire a guy with big enough cojones to take as many charges as he does. You rarely see him making mistakes when deciding whether to take a charge or step out of the way.

All-Time: Dennis RodmanBen Wallace is a great help side defender as well. Let's throw in Emeka Okafor to the mix as well.

Ben Wallace, Jermaine O'Neal and Marcus Camby. Those are the active players that come to mind. I don't really know any all time great helpside defenders.

I'm impressed at his effort this season. Utah wasn't so dumb signing him to that huge contract.

3 names that I can think of that are great are Mourning, Kirilenko, and Diop.

Boozer has just become a good defender because he worked his ass off in the offseason to become a good defender, there was a time he couldn't guard a closed door.AK47 is probably the best help defender in the league, most his blocks come that way; steals too.and to complete the Jazz trifecta; the all-time best help defender is John Stockton. He loved picking your pocket.

The entire Bulls team. They have an outstanding team defense. But as far as individual players go, some that havn't been mentioned:- Fred Jones- Earl Watson- Etan Thomas- Kwame Brown
