Since we all are making crazy threads, I bring you this. What was the greatest offensive team ever? Of course the answer is: Any Laker squad from 1980-1989 but, for the sake of argument, what do you think? Here are mine:1985 LA Lakers: 54.5% FG, 31.4 APG, 118.2 PPG, W-L:62-201982 Denver Nuggets: 52% FG, 27.7 APG, 126.5 PPG, W-L:46-361987 LA Lakers: 51.6% FG, 29.6 APG, 117.8 PPG, W-L:65-171967 76ers: 48.3% FG, 26.4 APG, 125.2 PPG, W-L:68-131972 LA Lakers : 49.0% FG, 27.2 APG, 121 PPG, W-L:69-13Those are mine, maybe some of those old Spurs teams should be brought up.

Some of the Mav teams of the early 2000's had great offense. But I'm thinking the Lakers team with Magic, Kareem, James Worthy, Byron Scott, and others.

Another to add: 2002 Kings, with Mike Bibby, Bobby Jackson, Doug Christie, Peja, CWebb, and Vlade. Maybe Brad Miller, I don't remember when he came along.

I think the best offenses were Showtime, and the early-80's Nuggets. The combo of English and Vandeweghe was unbelievable. Both could score 25+ ppg with ease.

[IMG] I'm not sure they knew anything about defense, even worse, in 1991, they allowed 130.8 points per game!!!!. That definately made for some fun basketball to watch.Another team to mention are those Boston Celtics of the early and mid 1960's. They basically invented the "running team" and they routinely averaged more than 120 points per game.
