Who do yall think is the best? I cant come up with a favorite but I think the Lakers', Jazz and Pacers are among the best...

the worst, IMO, is Mason of Detroit...that guy is hoooooooooooorrible, I cant stand watching Pistons home games on TV...dont get me wrong, I like the Pistons and actually think they'll win it all this year, but I really really dislike Mason...

I like Mason. I remember last year and this year how much he got the crowd pumping. He would do the DEEEEETROIT BASKETBALLLLL and the whole arena would cheer it too. The Sixers PA annoucer Matt Ford I think his name is, is pretty good at annoucing the game, but not by much.

The Miami announcer is pretty good.

    "Shaquieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel O'neaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!"

Or my favourite: "Uooooooooooooooooooooooooooooodonis Haaaaaaaaaaaaaslem, from D WADE"

Yeah, and then he follows it by: "2 Minutes remaining in the 3rd quorter, Knicks down by 20"

    [IMG][IMG] So true.

The Detroit anouncer get's on my nerves. The Heat's announcer is the best.

    "Shaquiiiiiiiillllllllleeeee O'Neeeeeaaaaalllllll! Diesel Power!"

I agree with the Suns' Paul Shirley. The Lakers' PA announcer makes me sick compared to the one the Grizzlies have.

I'm not sure if he's still the PA announcer but of course I like the Sonics' guy. One of my most memorable moments of being at Key Arena is at the beginning of the games when he would shout out:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, your Seattle Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupersonics."

Also, the Bulls announcer is good as well.

I liked the announcer in the Jordan-era, but recently I haven't been fond of their PA announcer. He seems to lack emotion.

Anyway, about the whole "Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupersonics" thing, what NBA announcer doesn't say their team's name like that? "Neeeeeeew Yooooork Knicks", "Milwaukeeeeeeeee Bucks", etc.

Jordan-Era was what I was referring to.

The Sonics announcer would hold on the "u" until he was almost out of breath and then barely finish off the "personics". Maybe most arenas do that, I just know the Sonics' one from experiencing it in person.

AGREED about the Sonics guy. I completely forgot about him. I remember around 1996-1998 as a Rockets fan when the Sonics-Rockets rivalry was heated, and the Sonics' player intros would give me chills [IMG] lol...I thought for a long time that they, along with the old Rockets intros during their nice run from 1994-1997 ("THIS is clutch city...") that those two were the best intros and PA men in the league...

but alltime best, I'd have to go with the old Bulls' Ray Clay...

    Yeah, Clay is classic.

I don't what it is, but I just like the Lakers PA Announcer's simple introductions (maybe it's his voice).

The kid that was in last year's all star weekend in LA, who did the introductions for the Rookie/Soph game is pretty good too.
