There is none. When they play together as a unit, they win. When they dont and one tries to showboat they lose.

I really thought that they it was going to go to everyone. There is no star on the Piston everyone is just a role player doing their job. That's why they win.

Just because the Pistons play as a unit, doesn't mean you can't single out one player as the best. That's my thought. I mean, even when they play as a unit, you can tell who is good and who isn't. In my opinion, their best player is probably Hamilton or Billups. I'm not totally sure. But, again, you can tell when one player sticks out among others, even when they play together.
But, the Wallaces stickout as well. So it will have to be between them. And by role players I mean no one of them are superstars. They are stars to a degree however, they aren't your typical ones.
I believe it is Ben Wallace they have gone on a major slide so far through his suspension losing to the Bobcats? How many wins do the Bobcats have one or two beating the defending champs that right there is messed up. They also lost a important game against the Cavs giving the Cavs confidence that they can beat this team, and you can bet the cavs will be there come playoff time so the more confidence they have the better. The whole method for this team is defense. ben Wallace anchores this teams defense without him they go down to a some what mediocore level of play on defense because they are missing there floor leader, and a main shot blocking force.
If I had to pick one to put on my team it would be Billups. Just because he looks like has has more hunger than everyone else. Rip Is never going to be someone you build a team around, he is like Antawn Jamison..you would like to have him on your team, but not build a team around him. Ben doesnt have the offensive game and is very undersized, but makes up for it with his tenascity.
I love all of my Pistons, and think they all are great. Every single one of them has something that they excel in best, and that's what makes them such a great team. But if I had to choose the best, it would probably come down to who's my favorite, and that is Tayshaun Prince. I love his ability to shut down superstar players. I pretty much love his defense, and his versatility, and his ability to come through when it's crunch time.
chauncey had been moved around so much people thought he wasnt going to do well until they saw him play with the pistons he's quick has a 3ball and has decent passing
detroit is better as a team than as a bunch of skilled good players. look at chauncey, rip. they were mediocre players until they arrived in detroit, where they blossomed into arguably all stars. rasheed alway had a rep of not playing to expectations, but his presence was a big factor in last season championship. so i can't really say who is the best player, but they sure know how to operate as a VERY EFFICIENT team. btw my fav piston is tayshuan prince, i love his versatility and defence.
