Who is the best player you've seen at any level (college, HS, down the street)that did not "make it" in the NBA.

Players that didn't "make it" can also include players that are currently in the NBA, but haven't become the star you were sure they would become. (e.g. Damar Johnson).

I'm just curious to see what kind of names yall can come up with.

JaRon Rush, one of the most talented players I have seen in my life but unfortunately the kid had big problems.

Lenny Cooke had so much potential. It's a shame he went down the wrong path.

I like cook a lot too. Its strange to me to see a guy like T.J. Ford get drafted so high while a guy with similar and comparable skills and about the same age doesn't even get a chance. The pacers were the 5th team to cut cook and hes only 21!!!

Pervis played a long time in the NBA though, and had some solid seasons compared to other big men in that era. Just was hurt a lot too, so that did not mean that he stunk on the court. Sure he was projected to be a star, but how many players are projected to be stars anway? I sick amount.

Bo Kimble, Ed O'Bannon..I'll think of more later.

Joe Smith - has had a somewhat solid career but was projected for big things. Shawn Bradley's another in that mould. One name which springs to mind is Isiah Rider - put up a couple of good seasons but his attitude IMO stopped him from becoming one of the real stars of the league.

naw .. it's just that the kid has talent ... he's a very good shooter , passer .. and got a great potential .. but didn't get enough time to prove it ... !!

Omar Cook. Guy has talent. Too bad it didn't get put to use. Same guys for JaRon Rush and Lenny Cooke.

I thought Paige was an AI wannabe with really little talent. His last year at Georgetown, he scored like 22+pts but shot like 36fg% and averaged way more turnovers than he did assist. I think his assist-to-turnover ratio was like 0.6 or something like that. He was a fool to leave school so early.
