I don't know about you guys.... I'm only 20 and only been watching the NBA a WHOLE lot since around 2000... but this has been one of these best playoffs ever I think. So many upsets and close games and memorable game winners! Ever day has something to talk about whether it be Evans nutjob, posey's shoulder, the crazy lakers-suns series, stackhouse botching the free throw, the cavs potentially upending the pistons, everything!! Here is hoping more is to come
It has to be up there. Have to wait till its all over before we can call it the best ever, but the first two rounds have been awesome. LAL-PHO, CLE-WAS, LAC-PHO, DAL-SAS, and CLE-DET have all been classic. SAC-SAS and CHI-MIA weren't too shabby either.
I didn't care too much for the first except for the Lakers-Suns series and the Bulls-Heat series. The second round has been fantastic. There have been so many games decided on the final possession, and the level of play has been exceptional. I don't think it's the best ever, but a duel between Wade and LeBron in the ECF could be an instant classic. The final game during the regular season between these two was one of the best all year. Both went for 40 points in the game and had a back and forth battle in crunch time. I'd be a lot more excited if the Lakers were able to knock off Phoenix and face the Clippers in RND 2. I was really looking forward to the Hallway Series. I can't wait to see how the final 3 series play out. Here's some historical impact if San Antonio and Detroit loses. The four remaining teams playing in the Conference Finals, are 4 franchises who have never won the title in NBA history.
I think the Knicks run to the Final about 7-8 years ago? was probably the best playoffs I can remeber. Also Heat vs. knicks in playoffs were always dogfights with some UFC style.
to me..this has been the best playoffs ever because this year.. i think everyone has an equal chance and possibility of winning.. everyone thought that it was gonna be spurs vd. pistons but guess what both spurs and pistons are down 3-2. this year it is more challenging and tougher and thats what makes the playoffs better!.
I`ve been loving these playoffs this year, has to be the best I watched since I started following the Sixers and the NBA in 2001. I mean from Kobe`s game winner to LeBron carrying the Cavs to a 3-2 lead over the Pistons, this postseason has been great.
Not at all man, I've only been watchin the NBA since '99 and I can tell you that there were some freakin ubeleivable games in the 1980's with some of the best players ever, turning them from stars into legends. You can count the number of legends in this years nba playoffs with one finger: Kobe. You can count the hall of famers on your hand: Dirk, Duncan, Kobe, LeBron (I hate to say so but you know he could retire right now and they would), Shaq. That's not even mentioning the playoffs in the 50's and 60's and 70's. You are right about one thing tho- these have been the best playoffs in a couple of years.
