Which playoffs series did you think were most exciting? I'm not sure exactly which year it was, but it was when Peja missed that 3 in OT in game 7 against the Lakers.
That would have been 3 years ago I believe. Yea, I also think that was the best series I've ever seen. Lakers came back down 3-2 and no one thought they could. Awesome series.
That Robert Horry shot...that series will go down in history as one of the most exciting playoff series ever.
that was 2002 playoffs not 2001... most exciting for me was the Philly/Toronto of 2001....that was an amazing series overall especially AI and Carter putting up some crazzzzzzzzzy numbers and leadership... back and forth went the two teams and it was all in VC's hands... amazing series Also....Indiana vs. Chicago 1998 Eastern Conference finals...game 7 especially
In my opinion, the best series was the Blazers/Mavs encounter last season. The Blazers defied odds and nearly came back from 3-0 down to force Game 7.
There have been some great Celtics/Lakers series, but ESPN Classic has taken out all the excitement by playing reruns EVERY SINGLE DAY. The most "exciting series" that I can remember would have to be Suns/Kings in '01... Kidd vs. JWill. That wasn't the best, but it was the most exciting.
My most exciting one was when Robert Horry hit that game winning buzzer beater in the LAL/SAC series.
For me it was the 1999-2000 season with the Lakers Vs. Blazers.. That series stretched all the way out to the 4th quarter was just great. That one was definitely my favorite.
^i actually only liked game 7, the rest of the series was very slow and they just played hack-a-shaq to catch up in the 3rd or 4th quarter.remember the thread is about the best series.no offense or anything.
Oh yea. Anybody remember the Knicks and Heat series in '99? Allan Houston made that jumper with .8 seconds left in the fourth? Knicks won thta series 4-2.

This is also my favorite series....

Carter drops 52...Iverson drops 54...Carter drops 55...Iverson drops 56. It was like one of those "anything you can do, I can do better" type or series. It ended up going to a game 7 and one last shot to determine who was the better team. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For me it was the 1999-2000 season with the Lakers Vs. Mine was the 1998 Pacers vs. Bulls series. Where in game 4 (or was it 5) when Reggie Miller made the winning shot. The Bulls went on to win the series in 6 games and the NBA championship for the sixth time.
^^^ they won in 7 games if i remmeber correctly also...the 1980 finals between sixers and Lakers were great, with Magic being a rookie and all....actually, it was the game 6 on the road that was truly amazing...
All the ESPN Classics.. 1994 the Nuggets upset the Sonics (No. 1 vs No. 8) 1986- Boston/Bulls. The Celtics swept the Bulls in the series, but Jordan dropped 62 points at the Boston Garden during game 2. I believe that game officially put Jordan on the map as one of the best. Don't forget, Larry Bird made his famous quote after that game, "I think it's just God disguised as Michael Jordan." 1998- Jordan stripped Karl Malone and nailed the buzzer beater against the Jazz during the NBA Finals. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Mine was the 1998 Pacers vs. Bulls series. That just kicked ass. The Rockets were blown out in 3 of the first 4 games. The defending champs looked doomed. In game 5, in Phoenix, Barkely misses two free throws at the end of regulation that would have given the Suns a four point lead. Hakeem hits a turn around to tie it and send the game in overtime. Horry scores, if I remember correctly, 7 points in overtime and the Rockets take it. They follow that with a convincing win at home. Game 7, in Phoenix, featured the Mario Elie "kiss of death" game winner. Man, that was a great playoff run.
