After Marvin Harrison just signed the largest contract even by a reciever, I started to think if he was the "best". This is tough, this year Terrell Owens is having the best year among the recievers, and he does not really have a legitimate second reciever on the team. Randy Moss is a genetic freak, who's been a little hurt, but still has the physical skills that are unparalleled. I love what Hines Ward does, he's a TO without all the antics. A big physical reciever, who is a great player I would have on my team any day. Torry Holt still has toprove himself that he's a legitimate No1, with Bruce on the other side, he has to wait. And I love Chad Johnson, and I think in 2-3 years he will be the best reciever in football. here's the stats

    Terrel Owens
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 69 1130 16.4 59 14 3 - 5 - 1.7 6 0 1 0
    Marvin Harrison
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 67 870 13.0 59 12 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1
    Randy Moss
    incomplete (he's been hurt)
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 34 465 13.7 50 9 0 0 0.0 0 0 1 1
    Hines Ward
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 64 800 12.5 58 4 6 30 5.0 16 1 0 0
    Chad Johnson
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 75 1071 14.3 53 6 1 9 9.0 9 0 0 0
    Torry Holt
YEAR REC YDS AVG LNG TD ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FUM LST
    2004 75 1071 14.3 53 6 1 9 9.0 9 0 0 0

By Stats alone looks like Terrell is having the finest year, what do you all think??

i think moss is by far the best. he is consistent every year and if it werent for the injury this year, hie #s would be much better than TOs

I'm not going to vote until after the season. Terrell Owens is having the best season statistic wise, but until the Eagles hit a rough spot without T.O. having a meltdown, I can't vote for him. I almost voted for Randy Moss because Moss may have finally matured some. Moss is clearly the most talented WR in the NFL, but his mouth has kept me from considering him the best in the past. However, he's too banged up to be considered the best right now. There are some other WRs who deserve consideration that didn't make the poll. Jevon Walker is having a great year in Green Bay. Mushin Muhammed has stepped up his game with Steve Smith out for the year. The Saints' Joe Horn is tied for the lead in receptions and 2nd in rec. yardage. The Texans' Andre Johnson is quietly becoming a force to be delt with. It's too close to call right now, but T.O. is the front runner provided that he can show some professionalism when the going gets tough. I'm not going to hold my breath for that though.

Rule 1 - You can't pick a WR unless you can spell his name! Pick again, BF1.

A healthy moss no comparison. Best route runner marvin harrison. Best wr against the bump and gets yards after the catch owens. Hines ward can do it all.

Imo their isnt anyone better randy moss.

TO is obviously having the best year, but before Moss got hurt TO was still leading in TDs and yardage, so you really can't say that he would've surpassed TO. Harrison was my favorite at the begining of this year, but that drought of TDs he had changed my mind.

Johnson & Johnson might actually be the best. Hard working, fast, great hands, and not TO or Moss. Also, both are very young and will only get better.

If the scheme were right in Miami, I'd take Chris Chambers until then I pick Eric Moulds.

I concur that Hines Ward is the most complete.

(Of the list you gave, though, T.O. is "the man" this year.)
