    1. Wade/Shaq
    2. Nash/Amare (healthy Amare)
    3. Parker/Duncan
    4. T-Mac/Yao (healthy T-Mac)
    5. LeBron/Big Z

Only thing is that I could switch TP/Duncan with Nash/Amare.

You guys are weird.T-Mac and Yao? Are you kidding me.T-Mac is 27 while Yao is 25. Thats far from girzzly vets and young guns tandem, which is what I thought was the purpose of this thread.

And Yao is still learning the league after only 4 seasons.

No contest here. It's Shaq and Wade easily. In a far second I'd say "Duncan and Ginoblie/Parker" or "Nash and Stodemire". Also, what's Kobe and Smush doing up there? I wouldn't call them that great of a tandem.

I think that the best young/veteran tandem is Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. Even though this season they barely played at all/together, when they are healthy they are at the top of the food chain at each of their respective positions. McGrady is one of the greatest scorers today, and if Yao plays like he did at the end of this year next year and beyond, they could each find themselves with some rings on their hands.

Overall as a GM I'd take Duncan and Parker without a doubt.

T-Mac and Yao are not a veteran/young tandem...T-Mac is only like 3 years older.I think overall I'd take Steve Nash and Amare. Amare, when healthy, is a total beast, and Nash has the ability to get him the ball in perfect situations. They can destroy ANY defense with the pick and roll.

I agree though Shaq and Wade are obviously the best and I see AI and AI being the second best next seson since I think Iggy will probably take over as the second option over cwebb and get a much bigger role.

And I didnt put those tandems in any specific order; so I dont think AI and AI are the second best.

Pierce-West is hardly a great duo. But I think Duncan-Parker are great together.

Wade and Shaq are probably the best. But, the top 5 behind them is a tougher choice.

I would take Nash/Amare over Shaq/Wade right now. If we are talking about primes, then Shaq/Wade would get it. But Nash/ Amare could kill you in many other ways then wade and shaq can. They cant run on the fastbreak with eachother. Wade cant give the kinda passes Nash gives Amare. Nash and Amare could kill you in more ways.

What makes them a veteran/young tandem is that one has been playing NBA level ball for 8 years, which is definately a long time to adjust, and Yao has only been learning the NBA game for four years now. Tracy Mcgrady with eight years in the league definately qualifies as a veteran player. It doesn't say old veteran, it only says veteran. That being said, they have only been together for two years, and it seems like one or the other has been hurt alot, they haven't got much time together on the court. So because of that, i am hesitant to put them up there as a great tandem. After winning a championship Wade and Shaq have to be up there as the best right now, or atleast i would think so.

And with a healthy T-Mac I put him, and Yao before Nash+Amare. But Wade, and Shaq hands down win this.
