Im torn, my heart lies with Yao and his consistency throughout his game, but some part of me is going for the Tmac superstar status.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">his consistency throughout his game</div> Does this go in the Rockets Forum? Anyways to answer your question. Yao, has yet to show consistency. This year, statistically, I'd take T-mac, but, his numbers will go down, Yao's goes up. If youre gonna draft one of the two, you should take McGrady IMO. But if you already got a good guard, get Yao.
Sorry, I am a n00b, if I placed this in the wrong area please move it. I went with Yao and picked up Jason Williams and Quetin Richardson (did you see his game last night!?) my first three picks were Yao, Amare, Gasol. Ive got all the big men I need.
Hmm, I think this thread could stay in this forum, since it does debate the stastical worth of our two stars. IMO, McGrady is a better pick. He will rack up stats in all five categories each game and will be likely more consistent than Yao. In a few years though, Yao will be the unanimous pick.
Tough, but I really think that Yao's stats will shoot up once Van Gundy removes the kinks in the offense, and McGrady's point total will drop somewhat. Yao's rebounding numbers, along with his scoring average and shooting percentage, should give him an advantage over McGrady...because McGrady won't be blowing Yao out of the water with his scoring this year. I just see Yao getting better and better each year, and now that McGrady is playing with him, they are going to have to share the wealth to win...and if they develop good chemistry, Yao will be the bigger factor in the long run and could be the best center in the league in a matter of 3-4 years.
