Hard to say...Redskins got impact players. Randle El is a gamebreaker but isn't every down tested. Lloyd makes ridiculous catches but has attitude. Carter used to be a great rusher. Archuleta is a hard hitter.Browns got veteren players that can still contribute but aren't where they used to be. Bentley is the only huge "young" player. Jurevicius, Washington, and McGinest are on their last legs but still make plays here and there. Zastudil is a solid punter though. All in all... I think the Redskins got a better crop of potential talent but for too much money. The Browns made the best move though with Bentley.

Both teams had great offseasons but I think the Redskins had a better one with Free Agency. First off, WHO would have thought the Redskins were going to get the guys we got with the little $ we had in Cap Room? NO ONE. But we did and it's freaking awesome. Second off, with our signings, we addressed positions that we needed badly. With Moss last season he was a loner, it was either him or no one when we had to go deep or had to throw to a wideout. Thrash, Patten and Jacobs are not dependable. By going out and getting Randle El who helped the Steelers win a Super Bowl and Lloyd who is an obvious talent who was stuck in the wrong city, we have definitely improved our corps to having probably one of the fastest and the best in the league.Signing Fauria helps take pressure off Chris Cooley for blocking and will help get him the ball more.Archuleta was taken in to either stand next to ST next season or step in for him however the trial ends up. Either way: awesome. He is a great safety and will definitely do a great job whether at FS or SS.Andre Carter helps the Redskins struggling DE's by moving Daniels to the Leftside and moving into the Right. He was never a good standup player but will really liven up our line and hopefully get us into a nice passrushing system that we havent seen from the line for a while. Daniels and Griffin have stepped up but Wynn has never been able to help them or stay in pace with them, so having a guy like Carter is gonna really help with making pressure. These signings will help us get over the hump whereas the Browns signings will help them develop. McGinest will only bring veteran leadership to the team and that only SOMETIMES will help a unit put up big numbers. Jurevicious surely will help in tricky situations, he always comes up big, and Bentley can help by being the rock of their O Line... Ted Washington again bringing vet leadership. All these guys except Bentley are old and only good for veteran leadership, whereas the Redskins FA's are mostly youthful talented players.

If Winslow and Braylon are healthy, this team is going to be very dangerous. Very good moves by the Browns this year. They have a solid running game, solid passing game if Frye can get it together. Mediocre defense. They have the right players to make a run for a spot.BTW::: 100 POST WOOO

They will reach cap hell sooner or later, and it is inevitable. So in that respect the Browns moves will have a better long-term effect due to the older players mentoring the youth and then going out of there in a year or two with low cap hits from them retireing.

The signing bonuses are so high that even if they cut half of the players, the dead money it would create wouldnt make it worth it. Cap hell will be coming soon, and it wont be pretty.

He is a #3 Reciever getting paid #1 reciever money...It's laughable.

The Safetys would have to step up more which opens up for the passing game. The running game helped Randle El, it didnt hurt him. Sure he would've had more catches but they wouldve been harder. Randle El isnt a superstar in the league. Hes just a big play WR.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (jeefunk @ Apr 16 2006, 04:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>How about the Titans?Picked up:David GivensChris HopeKevin MawaeDavid Thortonall 4 were in the top 50 FAs according to ESPNand still in the running for Ty Law last I heard</div> Too bad they'll get rid of all these players in a few years.

For this season, I think you have to go with the 'Skins. But if Jurevicious and McGinest play for 3-5 more years, I think it'll be the Browns. If the 'Skins don't win the Super Bowl this year, I think they'll consider it a pretty bad year, and I know they'll regret signing all of these people. They'll be forced to cut 3/4ths of their roster, and won't be able to sign their day 1 draft picks. If I were Joe Gibbs and they don't win the Superbowl this year....i'd retire. Because they won't be winning it for A LONG ASS TIME, if not this year.

Age is the biggest factor. McGinest, Big Ted Washington, and Jurevicious are on their last bit of NFL action. They bring morale to the defense and of course great leadership being vets of about 10 years each on average. Bentley and Shaffer are good young talent, but overall their age is just about 30-31. The 'Skins on the other hand, have picked up young talent in Lloyd, Randle El, Archuleta, and Carter. All have great potential in the NFL, which some have already proved. Randle El is not there to be a WR, for the most part. Everyone goes by his recieving stats, but the truth is, he is the return man and big play maker. Lloyd is a great assist to an already thriving Moss. Fauria, although aged quite a bit, is a great asset to take off of Cooley's back. Cooley can now sit back and block, and return to FB where he is needed.

yeah the skins better hope they win the super bowl this year cause they'll have to rip their team apart soon. they can run but you can't hide from inevitable cap penalties.
